Description: http://www.autobytel.com/bmw/x1/2013/... The 2013 BMW X1 represents one of the first compact luxury crossover SUVs to hit our shores. This vehicle has been available in Europe since 2010 and now the German Auto Company is bringing this small luxury vehicle to the U.S. The X1 shares the same platform as the 3-Series and thus drives a lot like a car. There are 3 different trim levels ranging in price from $30,800 to $38,600. The 2013 BMW X1 is a perfectly sized compact luxury crossover. BMW has kept the family resemblance and you might mistake the X1 for the X3 from the rear. Interestingly enough, the base model X1 some with rear wheel drive also known as sDrive while the AWD models are known as xDrive. There are 3 different trim levels on the 2013 BMW X1: the first is the sDrive28i, the second is the xDrive28i, and the third is the xDrive35i. The main difference between the 28i and the 35i are the engines. The 28i engine is a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder motor that makes 241 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque. The 35i has a larger 3.0 liter turbocharged 6-cylinder that raises power to 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft. of torque. All X1 models are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The base X1 with two wheel drive is 200 lbs. less than the AWD models and that weight makes a difference in terms of fuel economy with ratings of 24 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. That makes the X1 one of the most fuel efficient non-hybrid crossovers on the market. The interior on the 2013 BMW X1 looks very similar to the 3-series. Some of the best features are the high end materials, comfortable seats, and ergonomic layout. The 40/20/40 split rear seats can fold down to offer 56 cubic feet of storage space. Driving dynamics are great. The X1 is pretty fast with 0-60 MPH times at 6.3 seconds for the 4-cylinder and 5.3 seconds for the 6-cylinder. This compact luxury crossover handles well at any speed. It really feels like the true drivers car that BMW intended to make. The 2013 BMW X1 is in a class by itself. See More Car Videos http://www.autobytel.com/car-videos/?...
